Volunteering

There are a variety of volunteering opportunities at Mollie Nye House which are available to all seniors:

Reception Desk

You are the first contact for visitors to Mollie Nye House. In addition to answering phones, you will register program participants, assist with some clerical duties and make sales.  Time commitment is three hours per week with training provided.

Garden

Our heritage garden always needs a bit of tender care. The main duties would be to help with weeding, deadheading, and transplanting. The time is flexible with work parties being organized several times in the year.

Other Opportunities

Volunteer help for our Hearty Lunch, second Friday of each month.

LVSA is looking for members to join the 2016/17 Board. Contact President, Jackie Hay, at info@lvsa.ca or leave a message at the receptionist desk at Molly Nye House.

If you have an idea or skill you would like to share, call us. We’ll work with you to find a volunteer position that is an appropriate match. Call 604-987-5820 or email us at info@lvsa.ca.

If you are interested in volunteering, please download our Volunteer Application and email it back to us.  All volunteers are expected to have a criminal record check.
